John Matthew McEwen, 70, of the Felder's Campground Community, passed away at McComb Nursing and Rehab, on Sunday, August 11, 2024.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 13, from 5:00 til 8:00 PM at Hartman Jones Funeral Home and Wednesday, August 14 at Felder Methodist Church from 8:30 AM til services begin at 11:00 AM. The burial will follow in the cemetery at Felder's Campground. Rev. Danny Speed will officiate. Hartman Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

John was born on July 24, 1954, in McComb, MS, to Rufus and Bridget McEwen. He was a member of Felder UMC. He had worked as a dairy farmer, welder, and security guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Mary Twitchell and brother-in-law James "Buddy" Twitchell.

He is survived by one brother, David "Mac" McEwen (Becky); two sisters, Elizabeth "Libby" Sibley (Charlie), and Carron King (Raymond); three nephews, two nieces, four great-nephews, one great-niece, and other relatives and friends.
