Johnny A. Hickman, 73, a resident of Magnolia, MS; passed away April 3, 2024.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 13 from 12:00 PM until services at 1:00 PM at Miracle Lighthouse in Magnolia.  Burial will follow in Miracle Lighthouse cemetery.  Hartman Jones Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.

Johnny was born on April 1, 1951 in Pasadena, TX to Clayton Hickman and Barbara Parsons.   He was a member of Word of Faith Tabernacle church in Magnolia.  Johnny worked for many years as an over road truck driver.  He later worked for the scale house in Gloster.  He enjoyed the outdoors camping and fishing and hunting.  He would spend time playing his guitar and singing; music was his passion.  He won numerous awards for song writing.  He was a member of the Backwoods Gospel Band, as the lead guitarist and singer.  He loved his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Clayton Hickman and Barbara Kennedy, his grandparents Pete Parsons and Dorothy Parsons, and his wife Vivian Hickman.

He is survived by his daughters Barbara Allen of McComb, Charmin Johnston (Dale) of Tylertown, a brother Crockett Kennedy (Faye), a sister Anita Kay Johnson, grandchildren Johnathan Fortenberry (Abby), Steven Fortenberry (Alexis), Haley Travis (Corey),  Breanna Hickman,  Jacob Hickman (Mia)  and  Ilanna Hickman, great grandchildren Jackson, Mia Bella,  Lyla Rae, Peyton, Grace, Bre'Ella, Ti'Mera, Viveyana, Jhett, Aniyah, Khyden, Roycee, Imaryn, along with numerous other relatives and friends.
