Joseph Vincent Lauer, 72, a resident of Silver Cross Nursing in Brookhaven; passed away on March 24, 2022.  Arrangements will be announced at a later date.

Joseph was born on October 7, 1949 in Pennsylvania to Vincent Joseph Lauer, II and Mary Luke Lauer.  He was a United States Army Veteran having served in Vietnam.  He worked for many years in construction and with Dickerson and Bowen Company. He enjoyed the outdoors, spending time fishing; grilling and the time spent with his family and friends was his life enjoyment.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and a son Joey Lauer.

He is survived by his spouse Judy Hardin Lauer; his daughter Kelly Bailey; his sister Elizabeth Drapela; his brother Vincent Lauer, III; his stepchildren Kirk Seago, Wendy Wheat, Amanda Hughey and Isaac Guillory; his grandchildren Sydney Bailey, Joscelin Bailey, Joey Hester, Tyler Zemke, Cari Wheat Landers, Brandon Wheat, Kane Hughey, Maddie Hughey and Blaine Bullock; great grandchildren Everett Landers and Dean Landers; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
