Mrs. Joyce Louise Phelps King, 83, Mrs. King, a resident of McComb, died at her residence on Wednesday March 23, 2022.

She was born April 3, 1938 in Magnolia, Mississippi. She was the daughter of the late Enoch Isaiah "Nick" Phelps and Mary Louvenia Jenkins Phelps.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, C.J. King; one son, Marvin Larue King; and one sister, Margaret Owens.

Mrs. King was a housewife and a member of the First Pentecostal Church of McComb

She is survived by four daughters, Pauline Holcombe of Bandon, MS, Elaine Adams of Roseville, California, Arlene Keen of Denham Springs, Louisiana and Brenda King of McComb; four sisters,  Emma Lee Page of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, Sue Blailock of McComb, JoAnn Adams of Bogalusa, Louisiana and Alice Blailock of Walker, Louisiana; 12 Grandchildren and 21 Great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM at First Pentecostal Church of McComb. The Reverend Andrew Ballard will officiate.  Burial will be in the First United Pentecostal Church of McComb Cemetery with Hartman-Jones in charge of the arrangements.
