Obituary

June Nuttall Moak joined her husband Carl Moak in heaven on May 19th, 2024.

June was the first born of three daughters to Harold Percival Nuttall and Lillian Davies Nuttall  on June 7, 1929 in Wallasey, Cheshire England.  Her sisters, Beryl Nuttall White and Wendy Lillian Nuttall Bray joined her 1 and 11 years later.

June was a dental hygienist when she met Carlie Marlette Moak while he was serving in the United States Air Force and stationed at Burtonwood Air Force Base in Warrington, England.  It was through friends who were getting married that they met and four months later married.

They celebrated 71 years of marriage on April 4, 2024.  June and Carl had four children, Beverly June Moak Boyd (Lou), Karen Moak Crews (Bill) Carl Harold Moak (Staci) and Clinton Matthew Warren Moak ( Karen). She treasured her six grandchildren, Leigh Alexander Cole (Hannah) Jacob Warren Boyd (Allison), Louis Carl Boyd, William Spence Crews (Elizabeth Lee), Matthew Warren Moak (Morghan) and Carson Reese Moak and five great grandchildren, Quinn Elizabeth June Boyd, Emma Charlton Crews, Logan Louis Boyd, Miles Alexander Cole and Lillian Jane Crews. She had a host of in laws, nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

June remained a British subject her entire life but was dedicated to her children and family and participated with zeal in all of their American celebrations inserting her British flair for that extra touch! June was dedicated to the service of our lord and was  an active member of JJ White Presbyterian Church for over 40 years and was an honorary life member of the Presbyterian Women.

She participated in Sunday School, worked in the Church kitchen, and coordinated activities for the Micah Food Bank among many other service activities in the community. She was a 'yes' person and helped others whenever needed.

Her children learned and still serve with the ideals that June practiced every day and this was to give without expectation of anything in return. Give because you want to and know that this is what God wants you to do.  June was a member of the Parnassus Club and at one time served as president.

June most enjoyed spending her days knitting with her lifelong and dearest friend, Betty Penick. All of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren still own the beautiful dolls and knitted animals that she and Betty made for them.

June was known for baking cakes and muffins for her Micah friends.  However, most of her friends and family remember her annual Christmas mince pies and sausage rolls.  June's children remember her as the 'perfect' mother who never forgot a birthday or special occasion.  She was in the PTA, Band Club, a Room Mother and Brownie, Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader.  Her family always came first.

June lost her beloved husband, Carl on April 5, 2024 and from that moment wanted to join him in  Heaven. They are reunited!

The family is deeply grateful to JJ White Presbyterian Church for their love and support during the past six difficult months.  They appreciate and love Betty Penick for her devotion to June through the years.  The family would also like to thank Heartland Hospice and especially June's nurse Amber and CNA Katina for their compassion and care with their mother.

Special heartfelt thanks are sent to Reverend Cassie Alston,  Reverend Chris Richardson, Jennifer Sanders and Christopher Hart for their time and talents dedicated to June's memorial.  In addition, the family recognizes Carol and Whitney Rawlings and the JJ White Funeral Committee for their dedication to assisting families through such difficult days.

A memorial service to honor June's life will be held on Saturday June 15th at JJ White Presbyterian Church. Visitation-10:00 am Service 11:00 am. Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb is in charge of arrangements.
