Kathy Joe Gaines, 52, of McComb, MS passed away August 1, 2023, at North Oaks Hospital in Hammond, LA.

A private visitation will be held at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home in McComb. Rev. Jacob Willaims will officiate. Graveside services will be held Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at the Osyka Cemetery in Osyka, MS. Hartman-Jones Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.

Kathy was born in McComb, MS on February 14, 1971 to Sherwin Albert Beadle, Sr. and Betty Joe Mixon Beadle. She was reared in Osyka Presbyterian Church and as an adult joined Osyka Baptist Church.

She loved her children, her family and her friends dearly. She loved taking care of her rabbits and she enjoyed motorcycles and trucking. She was a volunteer fire fighter for Magnolia Fire Department and Summit Fire Department. She worked as a police officer for Magnolia Police Department and Summit Police Department, and as a security guard in Jackson, MS. Kathy was a wonderful loving daughter, mother, and friend. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jospeh B. Mixon and his wife Christine, Erwin P. Beadle and his wife Lela, an older brother, Sherwin Albert Beadle, Jr., younger brother Chad Mixon Beadle and younger sister Kristy Gail Beadle.

She is survived by her father, Sherwin Albert Beadle, Sr. and her mother Betty Joe Mixon Beadle; great aunt, Kathleen Simmons; uncle, Chris B. Mixon (Bennie Jean); son, Dustyn Jospeh Dickerson; daughter, Katie Joe Gaines; sister-in-law Angela Beadle; three nieces, Areal LeJune (Wilton), Miranda Morgan (Zack), Mariha Eilie (Jason), along with numerous other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Corey Cockerham, Pastor D. J. Coleman and Eric Whittington and Jeremy Easley, Zack Morgan and Jason Elie.
