Larry Clarence Boyd, 75, a resident of Jayess, MS; passed away November 3, 2023 at his residence.  Graveside services will be held in McEwen cemetery on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 11:00 AM.  Hartman Jones Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.

Larry was born March 4, 1948 in Pike Co., MS to Clarence Boyd and Mary M. Hightower Boyd.  He was of the Methodist faith.  Larry never met a stranger and loved to talk and joke around.  He enjoyed life with his family and friends.  Larry retired from MDOT after many years of service.  He loved bluegrass music, and singing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Charles Boyd, JW Boyd, Kent Boyd and Jerry Boyd, four sisters Marie McCullough, Mary Ethell Alexander, Judy Walters and Francis Landry.

He is survived by his brothers Emory Boyd and Noah Boyd, a sister Eva Mae Coon (Earnest Lee Coon), and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He will be greatly missed.
