Larry Eugene Wallace, 87, a resident of Jayess, MS, passed away at home on December 4, 2023. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at New Bethel Jesus Name Church from 11:00 AM until services at 1:00 PM.  Rev. Gary Robinson will officiate. Burial will follow in the New Bethel cemetery.  Hartman Jones Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.

Larry was born on May 26,1936 in Pike Co, MS to Tommy Eugene Wallace and Myrtle Lea Cade Wallace. Larry was a member of New Bethel Jesus Name Church, where he was a faithful and devoted member. Mr. Wallace owned and operated Wallace Carpet.  He was a talented upholsterer and enjoyed time spent in the garden.  He spent many nights camping and vacationing.  He traveled with his family to all the states.  He was an excellent husband and father and grandfather.  He loved his family, and grandchildren and great grandchildren.    He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his former wife Yvonne Wallace along with twin daughters, his son Michael Eugene Wallace, a granddaughter Tamera Susan Wallace, a sister Dollie Elizabeth McKenzie and a brother Robert Jerry Wallace.

He is survived by his wife Olive Roberts Wallace of Jayess, two sons Mickey Carroll Wallace of Jayess, Myron David Wallace (Tammy Renee) of Jayess, a daughter Yolanda Michele Wallace of Jayess, nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, along with numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Derrick Battle, Dallas Reid, Jeremy Wallace, Landon Wallace, Chris Story, Justin Herring, Darren Suane, and Jason Marshall.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Wallace, Damon Wallace, Duane McKenzie, Chris Daniels, Richmond Dunaway, and William Sumrall.
