Mr. Lonnie Keist, 67, a resident of Summit, died at St. Domonic's Hospital in Jackson on Saturday, May 6, 2023.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 1:00 PM until service at 2:00 PM at Hartman Jones Funeral Home. Rev. Joe Dykes will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery with Hartman-Jones Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

He was born March 23, 1956 in Bloomington, Illinois. He was the son of the late Alonzo Keist and Cecile Wagner.

He was an Engineering Tech for the Mississippi Department of Transportation and served in the United States Navy as a Boatswain's Mate second class.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alonzo Keist; one daughter, Sara Keist; one sister, Deborah Keist, his step-father, Don Wagner and his step-mother, Wanda Keist.

Mr. Keist is survived by his wife, Grindl Keist of Summit; his mother, Cecil Wagner; one son, Adam Keist of Summit; one brother, Karl Keist of Bloomington, Illinois and many nieces and nephews.
