Lillie Louise Alexander Marbury, 93, of McComb, MS passed away April 17, 2024 at McComb Nursing and Rehab in McComb, MS. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until services at 11:00 AM.  Rev. LaVerne Summerlin will officiate.  Burial will follow in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Pricedale.  Hartman Jones Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.

Louise was born on August 28, 1930 to Reuben Alexander and Berchie Mulford Alexander.

Louise was a member of Friendship Baptist Church for many years.  She enjoyed the outdoors spending time fishing with her husband.  She was a wonderful cook, and enjoyed caring for other people, sharing her tea cakes with the children and others.  Her chicken and dumplings were legendary, being a required dish at all church and family functions. She was a loved resident of McComb Nursing and Rehab, making many friends during her time there. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse Buford Marbury, a daughter Mitchie Carole Marbury, two brothers Grady Alexander and Roland Alexander, brother- in-law Thomas "Tebo" Wicker.

She is survived by her children Randy Marbury (Dianne) of Greenwell Springs, LA and Russell "Rusty" Marbury (Debbie) of Greenwell Springs, LA, five grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, a sister Ruby Nell Wicker, a brother William Earl Alexander and a host of other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Marbury, Derek Marbury, Brian Marbury, Allan Marbury, Eddy Beraud, and Mark Wicker.
