Marcum Smith, 102, of Summit, MS passed away at Forrest General Hospital on July 11, 2025.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 11 AM until services at 1 PM. Burial will be at the First United Pentecostal Church Cemetery and Rev. Darrell Clark will officiate. Hartman Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Marcum was born on June 13, 1923 in Harlan Co., Kentucky to the late John Frank Smith and Martha Smith.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Rose Smith; one son Bobby Smith; one granddaughter Jennifer Smith; one great-grandson Eric Clark; one great-great grandson Sawyer Smith; and eight siblings.

He is survived by four children Mark (Kathy) Smith, Dan (Cindy) Smith, Peggy (Darrel) Clark, and Judy (Raymond) Duke; thirteen grandchildren Shane (Amy) Smith, Brandon (Rainstorm) Smith, Jeremy (Susan) Smith, Rashonda (Mark) Waldrop, Stephen (Misty) Smith, Mindy (Brent) Guyton, Jody (Shane) Berry, Jonathan Smith, Jesse (Gwenelle) Smith, Brannon (Christie) Clark, Jamie (Jessica) Duke, Micah (Amie) Duke and Justin (Misty) Duke; twenty eight great-grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren along with three more great-great grands on the way at this time!; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Smith, Jonathan Smith, Jesse Smith, Zachary Smith, Mark Waldrop, and Brannon Clark.
