Mark Terrell Moak, 61, of Summit, MS, passed away on July 6, 2022 at SMRMC in McComb.
Visitation will be held Friday,July 8, 2022 from 11 AM until funeral services at 1 PM at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb. Rev. Talmadge Smith will officiate and burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Kentwood, LA.
Mark was born on December 7, 1960 in McComb, MS. He was the son of the late Bob and Virginia Terrell Moak.
Mark retired from the oil industry and was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church of Bogue Chitto, MS. He worked in the oil industry for thirty plus years having worked for H&P Drilling and Paragon Drilling in Africa as a maintenance supervisor. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was a TV buff who enjoyed the shows such as Westerns and any World War II movies , especially relating to Pearl Harbor (he was born on Dec.7) and loved to woodwork. He fought his cancer with courage and with the help of God. His favorite saying was "Gods got this".

There aren't enough people in life we'll cross paths with that radiate a cheerfulness, regardless of circumstances. A true jolliness, despite any situations.

He was the depiction of Thomas Paine's quote. I'm lucky to have known and had a relationship with someone so happy about life. I'll always remember that booming laugh, ear to ear smile and positivity was inextinguishable. Thanks for making a forever impact on me.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother Rex Moak.
He is survived by his wife of eleven happy years Carmen Raley Moak; two sons, Christopher Moak (Jenny) and Dylan Jones (Haley); three daughters Amanda Chapman (Michael), Heather Stewart (Ben) and Holly Wright (Stephen); one brother Paul Moak (Tina); nine grandchildren: Mark, Emily, Kinsley, Karlie, Vera Katherine, Oliver, Ethan, Conner, Theo, and looking forward to two more on the way (one grandson- Henry and one granddaughter); his aunt, Aunt Pete Reeves; brother in-law Dewitt Raley and one nephew Nick.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Moak, Dylan Jones, Michael Chapman, Greg Stogner, Chase Stogner and Keith Stogner.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Cancer Society 250 Williams St. NW Atlanta, GA. 30303
