Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Joy Freeman, 93, will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, October 23, 2023 from St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.  Father Suresh Thirumalareddy  will officiate.  Visitation will be from 9 A.M. till service time at 11 A.M. also at the church.  Mrs. Freeman, a resident of Summit, died at the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb on Saturday, October 21, 2023.

She was born January 19, 1930 in West Lincoln, Mississippi the daughter of the late William Howard and Lillian Fannie Pepper Alexander.  She was a registered nurse and a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Mike Conner Freeman and one sister, Billie Faye Alexander.

Mrs. Freeman is survived by one son, Michael and wife, Patsy Freeman of Pineville, Louisiana.  Two daughters:  Charlotte June Freeman of Summit and Trudy and husband, Joseph Miller of Picayune, Mississippi.  8 Grandchildren; 9 Great-grandchildren; 1 Great-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be:  Jeff Lepage; Jonathan Lepage; David Wincek; Conner Miller; John Miller; and Jeremy Schnell.

Burial will be in the Montgomery Cemetery with Hartman-Jones Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
