Everyone who knew Miss Maudie loved her. Her essence was pure love.
Maudie Jackson Dixon, 93, a resident of Gloster, Mississippi, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022, at Aston Court Assisted Living in McComb, MS.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 14, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until services at 11:00 a.m. at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home, 1801 Delaware Avenue, McComb, MS. Pastor Kevin Dixon of Zion Hill Baptist Church will officiate the service, followed by burial at Hollywood Cemetery in McComb, MS.
Maudie was born on April 6, 1929, in Gloster, MS, to Wallace Alton Jackson, Sr. and Geneva Harvey Jackson. She married James Dixon on July 26, 1947, in Magnolia, MS. Maudie was a member of Centreville Baptist Church in Centreville, MS.
Maudie is preceded in death by her husband, James Dixon, her parents, brothers: Wallace Jackson, Jr. and Joe Lee Jackson; and grandson, Michael Shane Wilcox. She is survived by her daughters: Lisa Dreher and Lori Foreman; grandchildren: Shaun Guillot (and wife, Angela), Jennifer Richard (and husband, Jason); great-grandchildren: Carson Jade and Azlyn Shane Wilcox; Ainsleigh Grace and John Easton Creasy; and Alyssa, Alexa, and Alayna Guillot; a special nephew: Kenny Mangione, a special niece, Genny Jackson, along with other numerous nephews, nieces, friends and family members
Pallbearers will be Wayne Ogle, Danny Meaux, Mike Bridwell, Wallace Jackson, III, and Wallace Jackson, IV.
Honorary pallbearers will be Shaun Guillot and Joseph Cothern.
Blessings and gratefulness are extended to Mike Bridwell, Pat Jackson, Wayne Ogle, Tessa Smith Hines, and Kellie Gentry for their love, support, and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritan's Purse, P. O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
Please note that there will be no gathering following the service.
