Mavis Wallace Johnston, 91, a resident of McComb, passed away at the Diversicare in Brookhaven, MS on July 5, 2023.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 5 PM to 8 PM and will continue Sunday from 12 noon until services at 2 PM at Hartman Jones Funeral Home.

She was born January 5, 1932 in Bogue Chitto, MS to the late Elzie and Blanch McFadden Wallace. She was a housewife and a member of North McComb Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, George Wiggins Johnston; one son, Rev. Ricky Johnston; six brothers, Clayborne Wallace, Curtis Wallace, Cleon Wallace, Donald Wallace, Ellis Wallace, and Edwin Wallace; one son-in-law, Rev. Robert Leon Dunn.

She is survived by two sons, Perry (Shelly) Johnston of Franklin, TN and Brady (Marsha) Johnston of Savannah, TN; two daughters, Karen Dunn of Hammond, LA and Emily (Bartley) Thornhill of Summit, MS; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Rob Dunn, Chris Dunn, Josh Johnston, Lane Johnston, Hayes McCorkle, Braden McCorkle, Trip Jones, and Zach Boyd.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Gage and Noah Boyd.
