Melissa LaVerne Wallace, 36 of Bogue Chitto; MS passed away September 12, 2023 in an automobile accident.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023 at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home from 12:00 PM until services at 2:00 PM.  Bro. Tim Allred will officiate. Graveside services will be at Montgomery Cemetery. Hartman Jones Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.

Melissa was born in Pike County, MS on September 27, 1986 to Aubrey Wallace and Leslie Albritton. She was a member of Mt Pleasant Baptist Church. She was a devoted and loving mother to Jackson, Jon-Paul, and Meleah. She enjoyed spending her time gardening, working with her flowers, always in the outdoors, and taking care of her children and loving and caring for all others'. Melissa kept near to her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ to help her day to day to continue to take care of her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Jack and Mae Opal Wallace, Laverne Brown, Melvin and Ava Albritton, Billy and Aileen Porter, parent Dottie Wallace, and a brother John Albritton.

She is survived by her children Jackson, Jon-Paul, and Meleah, parents Aubrey Wallace and Michael and Leslie Albritton, and Dirk Porter, grandfather Earl Brown, sisters Lacie Gennaro (Chip), Renee Whatley, Melissa Clary, and Bridget Crawford (Logan), brother Alan Whitson, nieces/nephews Ainsley Gennaro, Lorelai Gennaro, Chloe Tarver, Aaron Tarver, Gavin Clary, Gage Clary, Grayson Clary, Lakelynn Schifano, Ava Albritton, Camryn Crawford, and numerous relatives and special friends to include Reginald, Regginae, and Regina Turner, along with many other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Shane Lofton, Bryson Lofton, Dan Lofton, Chip Gennaro, Logan Crawford and Jacob Maxwell.
