Mike Conner Williams, 91, of Summit, MS passed away January 31, 2023 at McComb Nursing and Rehab.

Mr. Williams was born on August 22, 1931 in Lincoln County, to the late Robert "Zeb" and Ora Brown Williams.

Mr. Williams graduated from Johnston Station High School in 1950.  He worked 20 years for the McComb City Police Dept. and retired as Assistant Police Chief.  While working at the police dept. he was found to be courteous, kind and loyal, making many friends.  He was known as the "Peoples cop".  After his retirement his family moved to Martin Rd. where his wife Cleo was raised.  He loved planting and raising a garden. Mr. Williams was also a member of Central Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert "Zeb" and Ora Williams; wife Cleo Quin Williams; brothers Walter R. Williams, Robert Clifton Williams, James B. Williams, and Lamar Alford Williams.

Survivors include two sons Robert B. Williams; Thomas M. Williams and his wife Pam; granddaughter Nicky Williams; sisters-in-law Jeanette Williams, Dorothy Williams; brother-in-law Steve Beard and his wife Glenda; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be at Hartman Jones Funeral Home 1801 Delaware Ave. McComb, on Friday, February 3, 2023 from 1:00 PM until services at 3:00 PM, with Dr. David Millican officiating.  Burial will follow at Hollywood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Brady, Mike Johnson, Kenny Beck, Cody Beck, Stacy McCaskill and Mark Statham.  Honorary pallbearers will be Buster Stevenson and Clint "Wop" Weekly.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the charity of your choice.
