Morgan Ellsworth Jr., 75, of Gonzales, LA (formerly of McComb) passed away on November 14, 2023 at his residence Azalea Estates in Gonzales, LA.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home in McComb from 12 Noon until services at 2 PM.  Dr. David Millican will officiate and burial will be in Hollywood cemetery with Navy Honors.

Morgan was born on September 16, 1948, in McComb, MS to the late Morgan and Agnes M. Tee Ellsworth.

Morgan was an Engineer in the Oil Industry, he was of the Episcopalian faith and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He had a love for the ocean, having worked on tankers for years and being out to sea for long periods at a time. He was a meticulous records keeper, a hard worker and a very intelligent man. He was a loving husband, father and brother and he will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Karen Lee Therrell Ellsworth and a sister Patsy Ellsworth King Carruth.

He is survived by his son Nicholas Morgan Ellsworth, one daughter Melissa Ellsworth, one brother Rial A. Ellsworth and one sister Dana Ellsworth Stratton, five grandchildren with an assortment of nieces and nephews.
