Morris D.
Reynolds
April 11, 1952 – June 6, 2025
Morris D. Reynolds, 73, of Liberty, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2025. A lifelong resident of Mississippi, Morris was known for his generous spirit, his love of the outdoors, and his deep devotion to family, friends, and faith.
Visitation will be Thursday June 12, 2025 at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb from 9 AM until services at 11 AM. Bro. Brad Fitzgerald will officiate and burial will be in the East Fork Cemetery.
Morris proudly worked as a truck driver, a career that suited his hardworking nature and love of the open road. Outside of work, he found joy in hunting, fishing, spending time at the river with friends, playing poker on Wednesday nights, and watching football. He was a devoted Christian whose faith guided his life and actions. Morris believed in loving others, helping those in need, and living with integrity and kindness.
He is survived by his devoted daughter, Deanna Daniels, and her husband, Nathan Daniels; and his cherished granddaughter, Wrenlee Daniels, who brought him endless joy as her loving "Papaw." Morris is also survived by his special friend, Diane McCaa; his brothers Bobby Reynolds (Sue Reynolds), Jimmy Burns (Teresa Burns), Johnny Wayne Burns (Karen) and Tommy Burns; his sisters Annette Knight (Calis Ray Knight) and Denise Slaven (Bill Slaven); and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother Annie Bell Moak, father Walter Reynolds, and brothers Stan Reynolds and Jay Reynolds.
Morris was a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. His legacy of love, faith, and generosity will live on in all who had the honor of knowing him.
Pallbearers will be Michael Reynolds, Shane Knight, Chase Reynolds, Julian Simmons, Clarence Simmons, and Nic McCaa.
In honor of Morris's love for LSU, the family kindly requests that guests wear their favorite LSU attire to the services.
