Myrtle Lee Jordan Stogner, 88, a resident of McComb, MS passed away on May 17, 2026 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation will be Saturday May 23, 2026 from 12 Noon until services at 2 PM at North McComb Baptist Church. Rev. Laverne Summerlin will officiate and burial will be in Pike Memorial Garden Cemetery.

Myrtle was born on May 2, 1938 to her parents, the late Eli and Letha Jordan. She retired from McComb Public Schools where she managed McComb Middle School's cafeteria for 25 years. She was an active member of North McComb Baptist Church and loved her church and church family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Nelson J. Stogner; eight brothers Sam, Earl, Ray, Rufus, Royce, Willie J., Edward, and Junior Jordan; two sisters Deyseree Breland and Tammie Jo Jordan; one granddaughter Crystal Gayle Reed Wallace; and one son-in-law Lee Mercier.

She is survived by her three sons Nelson Warren (Betty) of Summit, Gregory William (Glecyl) of Bogue Chitto, and Robert Keith (Janie) of Bogue Chitto; her daughter Deanna Lenelle Mercier Brantley of Keithville, LA; ten grandchildren Aaron Stogner, Chase Stogner, Stephen Reed, Roman Mercier, Darren Mercier, Austin Brantley, Megan Stogner, Jennifer Stogner Copeland, Jeziel Stogner, and Leia Mercier; fourteen great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Steven Reed, Aaron Stogner, Roman Mercier, Chase Stogner, Darren Mercier, and Austin Brantley.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Conner Wilson, Zachary Reed, Ian Jeansonne, Reid Smith, and Gage Smith.
