Obituary

Nancy Elaine Netterville Moran, 78, a resident of McComb, MS; passed away August 1, 2024 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at First Christian Church from 2:00 PM until memorial services at 3:00 PM. Dr. David Millican will officiate.

Nancy was born on March 2, 1946 in McComb, MS to Arthur Reid Netterville, Jr. and Johnnie Brown Netterville.  She was a lifetime member of First Christian Church where she served as secretary for the Board of Trustees for 15 years and was a member of the Christian Women Fellowship.  She was a graduate of McComb High School and attended Southwest Mississippi Community College.  Nancy worked for the Selective Service Draft Board and the Mississippi Employment Commission.  She was a marvelous cook and a lover of animals.  She was never without a dog or a cat in her life.  Nancy loved humming birds and the color green.  She enjoyed the beauty of flowers and would plant the appropriate ones for each season every year. The color of the flowers and the beauty with in them is a reason she loved to "Color" and did so her whole life, even up until her passing.  She was an avid reader and loved listening to Elvis Presley music.  She loved her family with everything that she had in her, but the true apple of her eye was her grandchildren.  She thought the world of them and loved them immensely, just as they loved her.  She was so proud of Ava, Trip and Art and all of their accomplishments.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bobby Eugene Moran, her siblings Arthur Reid Netterville, III, Billy Brown Netterville, and Wayne Guy Netterville.

She is survived by her children, Jonathan Warner Moran and Melanie Dontil Moran Alexander (Talmadge Richard, Jr.), her sister Rebecca Ann Netterville, her grandchildren Ava Grace Moran, Talmadge "Trip" Richard Alexander, III, and Arthur "Art" Ellis Alexander, a childhood friend of 72 years Suzanne LeMasters Schilling, along with numerous other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations in the memory of Nancy Netterville Moran may be made to First Christian Church, 415 Delaware Ave, McComb, MS 39648, PO Box 1672 McComb,MS 39649.
