Neely Linn Biggs, 47, of Peoria, MS., passed from this life on Thursday May 2, 2024 at her home with her husband by her side.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 7, 2024 from 4 PM until 9 PM at Robinson Baptist Church with visitation again on Wednesday from 9 AM until services at 10 AM at Robinson Baptist Church in Peoria, MS. Rev. Christopher Fleming will officiate and burial will be in the Church cemetery.
Neely was born on November 12, 1976 in Eunice, LA. She is the daughter of Robert "Bo" Fontenot and Patricia Launey.
Neely Linn Biggs attended college at Northeastern Louisiana University in Monroe where she received a bachelors degree in Toxicology with a minor in Chemistry.
She began her career after college, working as a quality lab technician for Albemarle Corp in Baton Rouge, LA. She quickly moved from a lab technician to a plant support chemist role, working on creating many of the products that are prevalent in the global plastics industry today. During this time, Neely acquired a Masters of Business degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
Neely held roles as a site Supply Chain Manager and Business Manager for many of those products that she helped create for Albemarle.
Her business division was sold to WR Grace in 2018, and Neely moved along with the business and was transitioned to a global Product Management Director where she was heralded for her passion, vigor, knowledge, and savvy.
Neely was a member of Robinson Baptist Church in Peoria, Mississippi, and regularly attended discipleship and bible study sessions at Berean Community Church in Summit, MS. She was very active in several church ministries including a children's summer camp called Camp Christ Alone, an annual children's christian Pumpkin Patch, and working with the Berean ladies to host a local Susan Heck conference every year.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Kelly and Eva Broussard and Clevaine and Lenice Fontenot.
She is survived by her loving husband, Brandon Biggs, her father, Robert "Bo" Fontenot, her mother and step-father, Patricia and Mitchell Launey, two daughters Sarah Kimball (Sean) and Amanda Biggs, one grandson Bennett Kimball, three brothers Bill Fontenot (Laurie), Steve Broussard and Allen Fontenot (Rosa), brother-in-law Rusty Biggs (Dawn), sister-in-law Dena Olinde (Jay), nephews Hayden Biggs, Logan Biggs (Jey), Corey Chambliss (Alexis), Colt Olinde, Noel Olinde (Sunnie) and Ross Fontenot, her Nanny, Jeannine Bergeron, her godson, Alex Williams.
The family wishes to express their thanks and gratitude to Compassus Hospice Care for their exceptional care and compassion.
