Peggy "Pat" Smith, 77, a resident of McComb, MS passed away May 6, 2023.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 11,2023 at Hartman Jones Funeral Home 12:00 PM until memorial services at 2:00 PM. Rev. Harrell Ables will officiate.

Pat was born in Columbia, MS on December 5, 1945 to Tom Hardy Ables and Sarah Elizabeth Case Courtney. She was a member of First Assembly of God in McComb. She worked at Walmart for many years. She loved to listen to Christian programs and read her Bible. She enjoyed cooking. She was an avid giver to many Christian organizations to spread the gospel along with other notable charities. Pat was a Prayer Warrior and prayed Psalm 91 over her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Glenda Foret, and a brother James Ables, a niece Shandella Shelly Ables Guidry .

She is survived by her son Rodney Nordstrom of Summit, a daughter Kim Nordstrom Taylor (John) of Slidell, LA, a brother Harrell Ables (Nancy) of McComb, Shelby Ables of Avondale, LA, a sister Eva Rodrigue (Less) of New Orleans, LA, grandchildren Rebecca Nordstrom, Madelyn Nordstrom, Mitch Nordstrom(Camille), Nicole Taylor, John Taylor, great grandchildren Ava Marie Hostetler, Levi Charles Hostetler and Stevie Rae Taylor, along with numerous other relatives and many friends.
