Patricia "Pat" Randall, 86, of McComb, passed away of natural causes on February 16, 2023 at Beacham Memorial Hospital in Magnolia, MS.
Visitation will be Wednesday February 22, 2023 from 10 AM until services at 11 AM at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb. Rev. Chris Richardson will officiate and burial will be at the Concord Baptist Church cemetery in McCall Creek.
Pat Randall was born May 2, 1936, in McComb. After receiving a Master's Degree in English from Southeastern Louisiana University, she taught English for 25 years. She than began a career as a real estate agent that span 18 years. She was founder and owner of Pat Randall and Associates Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate. She was awarded Realtor of the Year by the Southwest Mississippi Board of Realtors, where she also served as a secretary/treasurer.
She was a devoted advocate of McComb. She served as a member of the McComb Lions club, president of the Chamber of Commerce's HowdyCrat board, a life member of the McComb Garden Club, a secretary and vice president of the McComb Historical Preservation Commission, a board member of the McComb Main Street Association, a member of the Flower Lovers Club, and a member of the Thursday Treasures Book Club. She was awarded the Enterprise-Journal's Woman of the Year.
She was appointed by Governor Ronnie Musgrove to the Mississippi State Board of Community and Junior Colleges, where she served for five years. She was a passionate, lifelong, Democrat.
She was congregant and choir member at J.J. White Presbyterian Church. She also served as an Elder in the church.
She is survived by a son and daughter, David "Rusty" Edwards, of Atlanta, and Pam Edwards Moore, of Los Angeles, daughter in law, Kim Edwards, son in law, Brian Moore and two grandsons, Erik Edwards and Ryan Edwards.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George M. and Hazel Burris Cain, and a brother, Douglas Cain, M.D.
