Patsy Cothern, 71, a resident of Smithdale, MS passed away on July 16, 2026.

A graveside service will be held Monday, July 20, 2026 at Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church at 10 AM. Bro. Luke Addison will officiate and Hartman Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was a homemaker that had a love for her family and pets. She enjoyed reading in her spare time.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Homer Davis and Ellisteen Cowart Davis of Smithdale; her two sisters Robbie Jackson and Rita Cothern of Brookhaven; and one brother Melvin Davis of Smithdale.

She is survived by two sons, James Cothern and wife Hope of Brookhaven, MS and Corey Cothern of Brookhaven; two grandsons Zach Cothern and Ian Cothern of Brookhaven; one sister Jane Heath of Tennessee; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be James, Corey, Zach, and Ian.
