Ralph Alvin Walters, 88, of McComb, MS passed away December 31, 2023 at Camellia Estates.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 5, 2024 from 10 AM until services at 12 PM at Hartman Jones Funeral Home. Rev. Trent Bilbo will officiate. Burial will be at Felix Allen Cemetery in Magnolia, MS.

He was born on January 4, 1935 to the late Arthur Thomas Walters and Dollie Fortenberry Walters.

He was a farmer and devoted to taking care of his own livestock. He enjoyed gardening, selling watermelons, and spending time with his great-grandchildren. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Thomas Morris Walters; two sisters, Frances Louise Walters and Mavis Walters Phelps; one brother-in-law, Talmadge Phelps; and one nephew Charlie Phelps.

He is survived by one son, David (Palma "Sam") Walters, Sr.; four grandchildren, Ashley (Cody) Johnston, Hannah (Anthony) Durr, David Walters, Jr., and Devon Walters; five great-grandchildren Cassidee, Lynnlee, Caleigh, Bentley, Adalynn and one on the way, Brantley; one brother, Arthur Therrell Walters; one sister, Dollie Blanche (Nick) Rebold; four nieces Jennifer Walters, Kelly Sharp, Becky Henry, and Loran Walters Gerald; one nephew, Gene Phelps; along with numerous great-nieces,  great-nephews, relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be David Walters, Jr., Cody Johnston, Anthony Durr, Timmy Olah, Gary Stewart, and Jamie LeBlanc.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the men of Bogue Chitto River Yacht Club and Devon Walters.
