Randall "Randy" B. McIntyre, 66, a resident of McComb, MS; departed this life on September 9, 2022. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Star Hill Baptist Church cemetery in Warnerton, LA at 11:00 AM. Hartman Jones Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
Randy was born on November 2, 1955 in McComb, MS to Leo McIntyre and Erma Dillon McIntyre. He was of the Baptist faith. Randy was a United States Navy Veteran, he served from 1974-1978 honorably discharged as a 2nd Petty Officer. He continued to serve his country by working for NAS in Meridian working on nearly every aircraft carrier during his contracts with the Department of Defense from 1985-2005. He retired from the railroad having worked as a Chief Mechanical Officer from 2005-2021. Randy loved canoeing; he canoed on rivers from Mississippi to Maryland, camping out on the river under the stars, growing plants and gardens, grilling, fishing and hunting. He was an avid LSU football fan. Randy loved people and never avoided an opportunity to teach someone something new, no matter how frustrating it may have been for him. He enjoyed music, Almond Brothers, Pink Floyd, Hank Williams, Jr. and Lynyrd Skynyrd where some of his favorites. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, his brother Michael McIntyre and a special friend Brad Smith.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons Chris McIntyre and Dillon McIntyre, his companion Vicki Hewitt, aunt and uncle Lloyd and Alice Smith, cousins Gary Hyatt, Logan and Lisa Reynolds and Sharon and Ken Cooper, special friends Hugh and Deb Kelly, along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are Chris McIntyre, Dillon McIntyre, Stephen Day, Logan Reynolds and Mark Smith.
