Robert G. "Bear" Wallace Jr., 73 years old, passed away on November 24, 2024 surrounded by his loving family at SWRMC in McComb, MS
A visitation will be held Sunday December 1, 2024, at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home in McComb from 5 PM until 8 PM. Visitation will continue Monday from 10 AM until services at 11 AM at the funeral Home. Rev Glenn Crain and Rev. Carl Mason will officiate and burial will be in the Tylertown cemetery.
Bear was born on February 27, 1951, in Lancaster, PA., to the late Robert G. Wallace Sr., and Marguerite Roland Wallace.
Bear was a retired Security officer and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. He was a Vietnam veteran (Lance Corporal) in the US Marines and a member of the VFW Cpt Danny D. Entrican Post 2618 of Brookhaven, MS. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, computer games and Veterans activities. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and he will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Zeta Conerly Wallace, one son, Robert Wallace, and one daughter, Annie Wallace, one brother Richard P. Wallace (Deb) and one sister Kathleen Wallace Markley (Brent), two grandchildren, Joseph Wallace and Emily Maldonado, two special nieces Kelsi and Kameron Case with numerous other nieces, nephews and friends. He also leaves behind his nine "fur babies".
Pallbearers will be his riding buddies.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to PALS of McComb or the McComb animal shelter.
