Robert Christopher Brown, 88, of Summit, MS, passed away on May 26, 2023 in his home with his daughter Julie by his side.  Bob (Bobby) passed away after a long battle with colon/liver cancer.

He was born in McComb and grew up in Summit, MS.  He was graduated from Southwest Community College in 1955.  He married Syble Reeves on June 9, 1957 and entered the U.S. Army from 1957 through 1959.  After being stationed in Frankfort, Germany, Bob returned home spending a long career with J.C. Penny, moving up from the store level to the regional office in Atlanta and then to Penny's home office in New York City and finally to the new home office in Plano, Texas.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Camille Brown, his wife of 56 years, Syble Reeves and his son, Kelly.

He is survived by his daughter, Julie Brown Kennedy and her husband, Mark.  Sisters, Kay Allred (James) and Gayle Tullos.  Nephews, Kristopher Powell and Josh Tullos and their children.

There will be a private family graveside service at the family cemetery.
