Rodney Wayne Jackson, 78, of Summit, MS, passed away April 21, 2023 at his residence. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023 at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until services at 12:00 PM. Burial will be in Mars Hill cemetery. Rev. Reggie Forman will officiate.

Rodney was born on May 7, 1944 in Centreville, MS to Lamar Jackson and Claudia Whittington Jackson. He was a member at Union Church in Gloster. He enjoyed time outdoors, fishing and hunting. He spent time on facebook, talking with his friends. Rodney worked in the timber industry as a logger. The joy of his life was his grandson Jackson Culley.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his son Rodney Jackson, Jr.

He is survived by his wife Susan Prestridge Jackson of Summit, his daughter Nancy Culley of Madison, a grandson Jackson Culley, one brother Mike Jackson (DeeDee) of Gloster, a sister Brenda Ivey of Flora, MS, a special niece Leigh Ivey Taylor, niece Megan Blair, nephews Rob Jackson, Colton Jackson, sister-in-law Janet Prestridge, along with numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Larry Norman, Bill Ivey, Aaron Shermer, Jason Bass, Jacob Bass, Rob Jackson, Colton Jackson, and Steve Prestridge.
