Rosa Lea Boyd Magee Brent, 79, of Summit, MS passed away peacefully on February 9, 2024 at Camellia Estates in McComb.

Visitation will be Tuesday Feb. 13, 2024 at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church at Carters Creek from 10:00 AM until services there at 11:00 AM.  Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery.  Rev. Andrew Pittman will officiate under the direction of Hartman Jones Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Nick Cothern, Tim Smith, Brody Nation, Clifton Mason, Chandler Guy and Blayde Pittman.

Mrs. Brent was born October 14, 1944 to the late Clyde W. Boyd and Evia Alexander Boyd.  She was a secretary for the Great American Box Company for over 44 years.  She was also a longtime member Bogue Chitto Baptist Church at Carters Creek.  She loved working in her yard and doing word puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Evia Boyd; first husband Sammie Jewell Magee; daughter Angie Magee; second husband William F. Brent; brothers Gaylon Boyd, Carl Boyd and wife Ethel; sisters Christine Thames, Clytee Nations, Vera Mason and husband Hershel;  Paulette Miller and husband Roy; sisters in law Betty Thornhill and husband Conn, Nola Boyd.

She is survived by her step daughter Monika Cothern and husband Derwin of Summit; step son Patrick Brent of Cologne, Germany; brother in law Johnny Nations and wife Deana of Moss Point, MS; sister in law Jan Etheridge and husband Robert of McComb; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends in whom she loved dearly.
