Rosalee Charline McKey, 77, of Brookhaven, MS., passed away June 12, 2024 at Courtyard Rehabilitation and Healthcare.

A visitation will be held Sunday June 16, 2024 at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home from 12 PM until services at 2 PM. Dr. David Millican will officiate and burial will be at Springfield Cemetery in Springfield, LA. Hartman-Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Charline was born on March 7, 1947 in New Orleans, LA., to the late Charlie DeLaughter and Rosa McKenzie DeLaughter.

She was a Certified Nursing Assistant for thirty three years and was a member of the Clay Hill Pentecostal Church. She loved to plant flowers, with her favorite being roses. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, dancing, and "running the roads". She was a wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a half brother and a half sister.

She is survived by her husband, Alvin McKey Sr. of Brookhaven, MS; her son Billy Jack (Wanda) Traylor of Fernwood, MS; her daughters Suzette Varnado of Springfield, LA, Tammy (Ollie) Ledwig of Springfield, LA, Deannene Traylor of Osyka, MS, and Jeannene (Edward Jr.) Egan of Progress, MS; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; along with numerous other family members.

Pallbearers will be John Prokop, Jared Egan, Garet Berry, Dakota Causey, Jake Egan, and Robert Traylor.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Corey Prokop, William Baylor, Frankie McKey, Austin Arickson, and Zeke Varnado.
