Samuel Bennett Miller, 85, a resident of McComb, MS; passed away May 26, 2023 at his residence.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until services at 12:00 PM.  Graveside services will follow in Fellowship Baptist Church cemetery.  Bro. Glen Robertson will officiate.

Mr. Miller was born on July 27, 1937 in Philadelphia, MS to Samuel R. Miller and Ruby Johnson Miller.  Mr. Miller was an avid outdoorsman.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and worked as a nuisance animal trapper for the State of Mississippi.  He held two patents for trapping.  He was recognized by the International Fur Trappers Association and invited to speak in Russia.  He was a skilled private pilot owning his own airplane. He had many talents and enjoyed life; living it to the fullest.  He loved his family, especially his grandchildren who lovingly referred to him as "Paw Paw Jack" and "Sugar Man", his friends at McComb Market referred to him as "Coyote"  which was fitting because he gave everyone he met a nick name.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Eva Nell McDaniel Miller, daughter Eva Marlene Miller, and his brother R. Lamar Miller.

He is survived by his daughters Sammie Nell Williams Robertson (Glen) of Clarksville, TN, Pamela Miller Kaisner of McComb, MS, Teree B. Miller Graham (Robert) of Tampa, FL, grandchildren Jon Williams, Steven Williams (Jessica), Gavin Williams (Katie), Garrett Kaisner (Amanda), Gabriella Laloma, Caleb Laloma, Sebastian Laloma, great grandchildren Trenton Moreau Williams, Steven Williams, Jr., Presley Williams, Scarlett Williams, Gavin Williams, II, brother James Herbert Miller, sister Elizabeth Miller Windham, numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jon Williams, Steven Williams, Gavin Williams, Caleb Laloma, Sebastian Laloma and Trenton Williams.
