Sandra Kathleen
Cummings
July 13, 1967 – November 20, 2025
Sandra Kathleen Cummings, 58, of Slidell, LA., passed away November 20, 2025 at Slidell Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Johnston Chapel U.M.C. in Summit, MS., from 11 AM until service time at 1 PM. Rev. Dale Little and Rev. Jonathan Tullos will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb is in charge of arrangements.
Sandra was born on July 13, 1967 in McComb, MS., to the late William Ernest Cummings Sr. and Anna Mae Bigner Cummings.
Sandra, a retired RN, lived with a loyalty, kindness, and joyful spirit that touched everyone who knew her. Loving and funny, she never missed a chance to be a little goofy if it meant making someone laugh. She saw everyone as a friend and offered that friendship freely. Resourceful and determined, she taught herself to handle anything—from roof repairs to fixing her car or household appliances.
She found joy in cooking, tending her yard, and passionately cheering for her beloved LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints; everyone knew not to call during a game. She adored children, especially the little ones in her family, and her cherished cats were truly her babies. Sandra's warmth, laughter, and open-hearted love will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, William "Bill" Ernest Cummings Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Lambert Jr., of Slidell, LA., her twin sister, Angela D. Guthrie (Carl) of Manassas, VA., one niece and one nephew with two cats, Manny Quinn and Josephine.
Pallbearers will be Carl Guthrie, Tony Scroggs, Victor Schmit III, Ed Womac, Ryan Womac and Christopher Rose.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Johnston Chapel U.M.C. at 2093 Chapel Dr. Summit, MS 39666
