Sandra H.
Hall
Jul 12, 1958 — Sep 2, 2026
Ruth, MS
Sandra Hux Hall, 68, of Ruth passed away at UMMC on September 2, 2026. She was born on July 12, 1958, in Kenner, Louisiana, to Ernest G. Hux and Louise Strickland as their middle daughter. Sandra's life was a testament to love, strength, and service, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
She married Harold L. Hall Jr. on August 17, 1974, beginning a beautiful journey filled with love and devotion. Together, they reared their daughter, Crystal (Jr Gatlin), and welcomed extra daughters, Jessica and Eva, into their hearts and home. Sandra's nurturing spirit extended beyond her family, touching the lives of many as a foster mother. Her family was her pride and joy.
Sandra had a distinguished career as a Registered Nurse; her commitment to helping others was evident in every aspect of her professional life. She held several leadership roles, including Director of Nursing and Administrator at a few facilities in the area. Her dedication and compassion were an inspiration to many.
Beyond her professional achievements, Sandra was a woman of many passions. She cherished the freedom of travel, whether it was a simple hour-long car ride or an adventurous two-week cruise. Her adventurous spirit was matched by her strong-willed and fiercely independent nature. Sandra lived life on her own terms, embracing every challenge with grace and determination.
Sandra was predeceased by her parents, her stepfather Henry Strickland, her extra set of parents (in-laws to most) Harold and Faye Hall, her sister Cindy Stanford, her niece Whitney Dawson, and her brothers-in-law Clyde Hall and Douglas Wentz.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Harold, her daughter, Crystal and Jr Gatlin, and the extra daughters she held dear- Jessica Smith and Eva Reeves; her grandchildren, her sisters-in-law Ann Wentz and Nora Hall, her nephew Jamie Hall, and niece Danessa and Brad Etheridge, as well as her other nieces and nephews and her close friends, Mac and Becky McEwen. Her dogs Bella, Bubba, Hank and Reba will also be missing her attention.
Sandra's legacy is one of love, resilience, and faith. She leaves behind a story that cannot be encapsulated by any single title, accomplishment, or memory. She will be remembered as a nurse, a leader, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a woman of faith, and certainly a woman who was impossible to forget.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for donations to be made in Sandra's memory to her church, Felder Community Church at 1061 Campground Circle, Summit, MS or a charity of your choice that reflects her life of service and compassion.
