Shelby Dakota Brent, 26, a resident of Magnolia, MS passed away on December 4, 2025 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.

A visitation will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 12 PM until services at 2 PM.

Shelby was born on October 1, 1999 to Swain Allen Brent and Robin Rawls. He was his mom's baby and always had a smile on his face. He was a small fella with a big heart according to his dad. He never met a stranger.

He is preceded in death by his brother Tyler Rawls; his grandparents Carolyn and John Batte, Major Brent, and W.L. Rawls.

He is survived by his parents; his grandmother Judy Rawls; his aunts Annette Hales, Lisa Burris (Tyrone), and Rhonda Summerall (Tracy); his uncle Robbie Dillon (Lisa); and numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Robbie Dillon, Logan Dillon, Dalton Dillon, Austin Thompson, and Tyrone Burris.
