Sybil Faye Jarrell of Summit, MS passed away January 23, 2024 at her residence.

A visitation will take place Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 10 AM until services at 12 PM at Hartman Jones Funeral Home. Dr. David Millican will officiate. Hartman Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Sybil was born on August 13, 1946. She was the daughter of the late Eithel and Marion Johnston.

Sybil enjoyed playing softball in her younger years. She loved living at Fort Adams, where she enjoyed fishing and hunting. In later years, visiting family and finding things to do outdoors were her favorite pastimes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eithel and Marion Johnston; husband Douglas "Mack" Jarrell; two sons Troy Henry Jarrell and Tony Douglas Jarrell; and two brothers Wayne Johnston and Raymond Johnston.

Survivors include grandsons Matthew Troy Jarrell and Michael James Case; great-grandsons Hunter Troy Jarrell and Lucas Chase Jarrell; sisters Betty Jackson, Gwen (Steve) Summers, Charlotte (Don) Hodges; and a brother Malcolm Johnston.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Jarrell, Michael Case, Shannon Whatley, Tim Summers, Josh Summers, and Kenneth Brown.
