Thomas Alvin Allred, 74 of Summit, MS, passed away January 19, 2023 at his residence.  Visitation will be held on Monday, January 23, 2023 from 1:00 PM until services at 2:00 PM at Adams United Methodist Church.  Burial will be in the church cemetery. Bro. Jim Bean-Ingram and Bro. Lonnie Case will officiate. Hartman Jones Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.

Thomas was born April 7, 1948 in the Auburn community.  He was the son of Pearlie Allred and Gladys Odom Allred.  Thomas was a 1966 graduate of Bogue Chitto High School.  He was a United States Army Veteran, having served in Germany.  He was a long time member of Adams United Methodist Church and also attended Oak Grove Baptist Church with his family.  He worked at Clark Construction for many years and was a skilled carpenter.  He worked hard providing for his family.  He was a great husband and father; he enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.  He will be missed greatly by all those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother Edwin Lynn Allred, a sister-in-law Faye Allred, a brother-in-law Harold Phillips.

He is survived by his wife of 50  years Jeannie Coker Allred of Summit, a daughter Bonnie Longmire (Jeffrey) of Gloster, MS, brother Dennis Allred (Cindy) of Oklahoma, grandchildren Hazel Longmire, Clara Longmire, Jack Longmire, Logan Longmire, Conner Longmire, and Amelia Longmire, a special great niece Alice McKenzie, numerous other nieces, nephews and  a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Brad Hart, Jack Longmire, Jeffrey Longmire, Jonathan McKenzie, Lamar McKenzie and Chris Parrish.
