Totsie Boyd McKenzie, 89, of McComb, entered into the eternal rest of her Lord Jesus on March 1, 2023 at her residence.

Visitation will be Friday March 3, 2023 from 10:00 AM until services there at 3:00 PM at Hartman Jones Funeral Home 1801 Delaware Ave. McComb, MS.  Burial will follow in Hollywood Cemetery.  Rev. Ivory "Bubba" Disotell, Rev. Larry Dudley, Rev. R. H. Johnson and Rev. Charles Creel.  Pallbearers will be Vince Johnson, Winfred McKenzie Jr., Joe McKenzie, Danny Boyd, Michael Boyd, Hershel Jones Jr. and Ken Wilson.  Honorary pallbearer will be Kenneth Johnson.

Mrs. McKenzie was born on March 28, 1933 in Lawrence County to the late Elmer Julius Boyd and Hazel Wallace Boyd.

She was always known for her beautiful roses and azaleas. She loved to cook and everyone loved her apple pie and chicken n' dumplings.  She was a member of Brockdale Apostolic Jesus Name Church, Tylertown.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Houston Cecil McKenzie Sr.; and one son Charles Ray McKenzie.

Survivors include her son Houston McKenzie Jr. (Carla) of McComb; Daughters Margaret Russell (Bruce) of McComb, Glenda Johnson (Kenneth) of Hendersonville, NC; Brothers Freddie Boyd (Judy) of Magnolia,  Garland Boyd (Frances) of Summit;  one sister Johnnie Mae Earl of Brookhaven;  three Grandchildren Blaisha McKenzie (Michael McKinney), Destiny Arellano, Vince Johnson (LaRinda);  three Great Grandchildren Johnny Arellano, Joaquin Arellano and LaRiah Russell; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
