Will Shane Dixon, 49, of McComb, MS passed away on February 8, 2024 at the University Hospital in Jackson, MS., from an accident at his home.
Visitation will be Monday February 12, 2024 from 9 AM until services at 11 AM at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Liberty. MS. Rev.Kevin Dixon will officiate and burial will be in New Zion Cemetery on Meadville Rd. Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb is in charge of arrangements.
Shane as he loved to be called, was born in McComb, MS., on July 7, 1974 to Kenneth and Margaret Dixon of Liberty, MS.
Shane grew up in Liberty, MS., where he loved the outdoors, bonfires, spending time with his friends and family. Shane never met a stranger, and he loved helping others.
He reunited with his High School love after thirty years, just two years ago where they became one and were inseparable. April was the love of his life and his family and friends would tell you, she put the smile on him and he spent the happiest of his time with her. He was also a loving father, son, and husband to April. He will be truly be missed by those that loved him dearly.
He was a self-employed laborer and construction worker, where he loved building things and was working on his love's Valentine gift, when he passed away.
He was preceded in death by his only brother, Kenneth Wesley Dixon and his in-laws Warner and Faye Carr Of McComb.
He is survived by his wife, April Carr Dixon of McComb, his step-children, whom he thought of as his own, Dustin Carr (Kara), Cierra Carr and Brian Thompson, step-grandchildren, Dustin Jr, Chevy, Breana, Krystina and Brantley along with many family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Carr, Brian Thompson, Brant Bateman, Paul Clark, Kyle Kelly, Bill Sturdivant and Jacob Hughes.
Honorary Pallbearers will be J.L. Jones, David Bradley and Bubba Roberts.
