William Earl Alexander, Sr., entered into the presence of the Lord, May 1, 2026, from his home after a lengthy health battle.  His wife and children were at his side as he was peacefully led home to the Lord. He was born February 2, 1946, to Ruben Lee and Berchie Alexander.  He proudly served with the National Guard for 13 years.  On September 2, 1966, he married Barbara Kathryn Wicker.  William Earl was a "jack of all trades" and enjoyed remodeling homes and carpentry work.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, his parents-in-law Earl and Dorothy Wicker, his siblings Louise (Burford) Marbury, Grady (Mary Nell) Alexander, Roland (Alice) Alexander and brother-in-law Thomas Wicker.

William Earl was a devoted and caring husband, daddy, father-in-law, pawpaw, and great pawpaw. He is survived by: his wife of 59 years, Kathryn Wicker Alexander; one sister, Ruby Nell Wicker; two daughters, Tracey (Randy) Boyd, Tammy (Andy) Rayborn; two sons, William "Will" (Farrah) Alexander, Jr., Scott (Jessica) Alexander. Grandchildren and their spouses; Clint (Miranda) Boyd; Jesse (Briana) Boyd; Garrett (Jessica) Rayborn; Jeffery (Brianna) Rayborn; Trey (Brook) Rayborn; Justice Smith; Peyton Alexander; Brennan Alexander; Ava-Kathryn Alexander; Carrie Alexander; Elaina Alexander; Carter Garvin; Noah Alexander.  Great-Grandchildren: Bailey Boyd; Brayden Boyd; Allyn (AC) Boyd; Brooklyn Boyd; Tessa Rayborn; Sadie Rayborn; Ella Rayborn; and Mary Ann Rayborn and many nieces and nephews.  The family would also like to recognize his helpers J.C. Simpson and Amber Johnson as well as his Deaconess hospice team for their dedication and support.

William Earl was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pricedale, MS where he served as a deacon for many years.  His life was a testimony he lived every day.  He enjoyed helping others and spending time with his family.  He also enjoyed looking through his shop at the "treasures" he had collected through the years.  He knew where he got almost every antique tool, board, cabinet and corn sheller.  He prided himself on finding bargains and passing those on to the people he helped including his children, other family members and strangers.

Throughout his life he was employed by American Box, Life of Georgia, West Building Supply, Coke, and Self-Employed as a Farmer and Carpenter.

Through the years he exemplified Matthew 6:3 in his charitable deeds.  He helped with those he found in need providing transportation, places to live, financial support, and a Christian Example (Matthew 25:40) He invited everyone to church and encouraged his family to remain in church as they grew into adulthood.

He desired to "get up and around again" to attend deacons' meetings, church services, spend time in his shop, and spend time with his family.  He was a quiet and reserved man full of faith and a gentle spirit.

Services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 1009 Pricedale Drive, Summit, MS 39666. Visitation on Monday 5/4/2026, from 5-8; 5/5/26, from 9-10 with the service beginning at 10.  Internment at Calvary Baptist Church.  Bro. Mark Wicker will officiate.  Pallbearers will be Randy Marbury, Rusty Marbury, J.C. Simpson, Garrett Rayborn; Jeffery Rayborn; and Trey Rayborn.  Honorary pallbearers Carter Garvin and Noah Alexander.
