Obituary

William Clarence Burrows, 91, of McComb, MS passed away December 1, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

No services to be announced at this time. Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb is in charge of arrangements.

William was born March 12, 1931, to the late James Robertson and Annie Grace Witherspoon Burrows.

He was a National Industrial Director for an Erosion Control Company and was a active member of First Baptist Church of McComb. He went to the University of Alabama and was a huge Alabama fan (Roll Tide). He served honorably in the U.S. Army as a 2nd LT in the Korean War. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed hunting, music, dancing, gardening and could build anything. He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister in-law Virginia Walker Burrows.

He is survived by his wife of four happy years Sylvia Beard Burrows, three daughters Carla Joan Burrows, Elizabeth Grace Janich (Paul) and Karen Casaday (Ken), one brother Dr. Robert "Bob" Burrows; one niece Barbara Willis (Dr. Turner Willis), one nephew David James Burrows with numerous other step-children, grandchildren,nieces and nephews.
