Yvonne Cook Bradford, 95, passed away October 10, 2022, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Cook Family Cemetery in Amite, Co. Hartman Jones Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.

Yvonne was born January 18, 1927 in Magnolia, MS to the late James Alton Cook and Eleanor Carter Cook.

She was a member of Unity Baptist Church. Yvonne attended Southern Mississippi where she got a Bachelor degree in education. She continued her education by receiving her Master's in Education from the University of South Alabama. She taught school in various places in the south.  She put her formal teaching to the side as she raised her four children, she returned to teaching in the school systems later in her life. She enjoyed nature, spending lots of time walking and watching the birds as well as other wildlife.  Yvonne enjoyed reading also.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her spouse Samuel Chester Bradford along with three children Robert Wayne Bradford, Stephen Edward Bradford and Sandra Ellen Bradford, and a brother Willie Alton Cook.

She is survived by her son Jim Bradford of Magnolia, a grandson Zachary Steve Bradford, along with other relatives and friends.
